The problem
The challenge
JTM Paving & Landscaping is Keith's company, based in Luton. He does block paved driveways, patios, landscaping, fencing and artificial grass all over Luton and Bedfordshire.
His reviews are really good. One customer had a driveway of around 75 square metres with drainage problems, and Keith reworked it so the rain doesn't collect anywhere anymore. Another had a new driveway and their front garden redesigned, and said Keith listened to their ideas before telling them the best way to do it.
The problem was his website didn't mention any of that. It was a three page Wix site. The homepage was a big photo of block paving with "Professional Paving & Landscaping Services" over it, and no phone number at the top. His services were four names in a list. To find his number you had to scroll down into the about section, and when the page first loaded a cookie banner sat right across the middle of it.
Our approach
What we did
We found Keith on Google and built him a free website using his own photos, his own wording and his Google reviews. We sent it over, he liked it, and he said yes.
Now the first thing you see is "Paving and landscaping in Luton." with a button for a free quote, his number and his Google rating, next to a photo of one of his driveways.
Every service has its own card. Block paving, patios and landscaping each have a photo of a job he's done. Fencing and artificial grass don't have photos yet, because there weren't any on his old site and we didn't want to put stock photos on his website. We'll add them once we've got some.
His reviews are on there word for word, and the about section is in Keith's own words from his old site, including "If you think it, we will make it!"
The contact form asks where the job is, what it is and roughly what needs doing, so Keith's got what he needs before he rings someone back. On a phone, there's a Call Keith button stuck to the bottom of the screen the whole way down.
The areas section lists Luton and 11 places around it, next to a map. The map shows the area he covers rather than his home address.
Last job was the domain. His email runs through Google, so we copied all of that across first to make sure nothing broke. The site went live on www.jtmpaving.com on 6 November and his email carried on working as normal.
