Our story
Why we started WAT.
Brilliant businesses, stuck with websites that did nothing for them.
We kept seeing the same thing. Landscapers, plumbers, joiners, bathroom fitters. People who do genuinely great work, with a website that let them down. Templated, slow, identical to a thousand others, and nowhere on Google. They had been sold a website, not a way to get more customers.
So we started WAT Websites to do it properly. Every site is built from scratch, made to load fast and turn a visitor into a phone call, with the SEO basics done from day one so it can actually rank. Then, if you want more, we keep going with local SEO that puts you in front of the people already searching for what you do.
And we start with a free one-page site. Not a trial, not a template. A proper page we build for you, hosted for £0, so you can judge the finished work instead of a pitch. Some businesses later want more from us, and that is how we make our money. Plenty just keep the free page.
You deal with the two people building your site. We treat every build like our own business depends on it, and we are still here long after launch, every time you need something changing.
