A website that shows steel detailing from 3D model to finished structure

The problem

The challenge

KN Technical do 3D structural steel detailing, BIM coordination and virtual construction modelling for fabricators, main contractors and engineers. The buyer is a professional, not a passing homeowner, so the site had to prove expertise in about ten seconds.

The problem is that detailing is invisible work. The value is in accuracy, clash-free models and drawings that actually build on site. None of that photographs well.

Our approach

What we did

We led with credibility: decades of combined experience, detailing in Tekla since the 1990s, and clear pages for BIM coordination, virtual construction models, design co-ordination and estimating.

The projects page does the heavy lifting. Before-and-after sliders take each job from a coloured 3D model through to the finished, erected steel.

Outcomes

Results

A contractor can land on the projects page, drag one slider, and understand the standard of the work immediately. That's something most detailing firms' websites never manage.

Neil's verdict: everything was handled professionally from first conversation to launch, and the site represents the business properly.
