The Problem
The Challenge
Bridgfords Windows & Doors supply and fit uPVC and aluminium windows, composite entrance doors, bi-folds and sliding patio doors from a base in West Bridgford, covering Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. They deal direct with the homeowner: no commission-based salespeople, no theatrical discounts, just a survey and a written quote.
Nobody searches for "windows". They search for composite front doors in Nottingham, or aluminium bi-folds, or tilt and turn windows, and they search from a specific town. A single page listing everything the company fits would have been invisible for all of it, and Bridgfords are competing for those searches against national outfits with big budgets.
There was a tone problem too. Double glazing is a trade people approach braced for a pushy salesperson on the sofa at 8pm. The way Bridgfords actually work is the opposite of that, and a website is a hard place to prove it.
Our Approach
What We Did
We built a product-led site: every range gets its own page rather than a bullet on a shared list, so a search for one specific door lands on that exact door. Each product page uses real photography of their own installs instead of manufacturer stock, and repeats the reassurance that matters without repeating the sales pitch: ten-year insurance-backed guarantee, building control arranged, A-rated argon-filled glass as standard.
The homepage answers what, where and why-trust-us in a single screen, with the Emplas and Origin names carrying the manufacturing credibility. A four-step "from quote to fitted" walkthrough tells a nervous homeowner exactly what happens and when, and every call to action asks for a free home visit rather than dangling a price.
The build, in short:
- Nine product pages, one per window and door range, each with its own FAQs
- Twelve area pages, four counties plus the towns around West Bridgford
- A filterable gallery of finished installs, browsable by windows or doors, so the proof is easy to check
- A coverage map and postcode list, so nobody has to guess whether they're in the patch
- Phone number and quote button always in reach, on a fast, mobile-first build

Outcomes
Results
Bridgfords now have a site that matches how they actually sell. A homeowner can find their exact door, see it fitted on a house near them, read the guarantee in plain English, and book a free home visit without speaking to a salesperson first.
Structurally it also gives them something a one-page site never could: twenty-five pages of genuine local search footprint, each one aimed at a real search rather than at the homepage. Instead of competing with the nationals on the single term "double glazing Nottingham", they have a page ready for every product and every town they actually cover.
We build websites like this for window and door installers across Nottingham and beyond.
