The Problem

Jamie Window came to us in February 2026 with no website, no Google Business Profile, and no social media. Every job came through word of mouth. In February, MIW had zero impressions and zero clicks on Google.
Most clients we take on have something to build from — an old site, a dormant GBP, a handful of reviews. Jamie had none of that. The starting point was genuinely zero.
The GBP verification added weeks of delay. Google's video verification flagged the account and held the listing through multiple review cycles. We contacted Google directly several times before the profile was approved. That process had to be resolved before any search visibility was possible.

We built the website around the search terms homeowners in Derby and Derbyshire use when looking for patios, driveways, and landscaping work. Each service page targets a specific set of keywords with a layout built to convert visitors into enquiries.
Once the site was live, we ran on-page SEO to give Google clear signals about what MIW does and where they operate, and began building local authority through link building and location-specific content.
After clearing the verification issues, we got the GBP live and fully set up — categories, service areas, photos, and keyword-rich descriptions to compete in the local map pack.

February: 0 impressions, 0 clicks. March: 210 impressions, 1 click. April: 688 impressions, 8 clicks, and MIW's first organic enquiry through the website — within 90 days of starting from nothing.
By day three of May, MIW had 140 impressions and 2 clicks, putting the month on track for over 1,400 impressions and 20 clicks. That growth rate came despite the weeks lost to the GBP verification process.
The lead in April came from a customer who found MIW through Google search with no paid ads involved. The numbers are moving in the right direction each month.
